Beyond win rates, HeroCoach can read the draft like a high-elo player. Each of the 173 champions has a sheet of more than 40 attributes, rated from its kit and from Emerald+ stats. The engine crosses your allies' and enemies' sheets and tells you which pick completes the composition, and why.

Download and install
Windows: run HeroCoach-Setup.exe. SmartScreen may warn because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click "More info → Run anyway".
Mac: open the .dmg and drag Hero Coach to Applications. The first time, macOS warns because the app isn't signed by Apple yet: right-click it → Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway". Only needed once: it updates itself afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
What is HeroCoach?
A free desktop app for League of Legends that goes with you from lobby to Nexus: in champion select it suggests picks and counters based on the draft, who to ban, the build, runes, summoner spells, skill order and jungle path; in game it compares your farm with your rank, and afterwards it reviews how you played. Outside of games you get your pool, a 5v5 draft simulator, the tier list and your match history.
Is it free?
Yes. All current features are free and will stay free. An optional premium tier may exist in the future, never with in-game ads.
Can I get banned for using it?
HeroCoach only consumes the local, official APIs Riot exposes to third parties and follows Riot's third-party application policies. It doesn't modify the game or provide disallowed advantages.
Where do the stats come from?
From public ranked games fetched through the Riot Games API and from stats aggregated by region, patch and rank.
How does it decide which champion to recommend?
It has two modes. Stats mode ranks your lane's champions by matchup win rate and synergy with your allies. Attribute mode uses a sheet of more than 40 attributes per champion to see what your team is missing (frontline, engage, crowd control, area damage…), what punishes the enemy (anti-heal, tank shredding, peel vs. dive…) and which game plan it fits, and it takes points off redundant picks or ones that are weak against the enemy. Every suggestion shows its reasons.
Do I need an account or my Riot password?
No. HeroCoach has no sign-up and never asks for credentials: it reads what the League of Legends client itself exposes on your computer and doesn't send your Riot ID to our servers.
Does it work for SoloQ and Flex?
Yes. It detects your queue on its own and adjusts the suggestions; the tier list and match history split Solo/Duo and Flex, and it covers all five roles: top, jungle, mid, bottom and support.
Does it work on macOS?
Yes. It runs on macOS 10.15 or later, on both Apple Silicon (M1–M4) and Intel Macs: download the .dmg and follow the install steps.
Does it import runes and summoner spells automatically?
Yes. Once you lock in, it shows the most played rune page and the best win-rate one; "Apply" creates the "Hero Coach" page in the client and sets your summoner spells, with no manual copying.
Is it an alternative to Blitz, Porofessor or Mobalytics?
Yes. It covers what you usually look for in those apps during champion select (counters, builds, runes and jungle paths) and also recommends picks based on what your team is missing. It's free, has no in-game ads and is available in English and Spanish.
Who is behind HeroCoach?
HeroCoach was built together with players who stayed in Challenger for several seasons in a row. They tested the app in their own games and told us what worked for them and what was missing until we reached this version.
